Face and Neck

Advanced Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery (APCS) recognises that patients have many reasons for contemplating facial and head procedures in plastic surgery. From eyelid surgery to rhinoplasty, our diverse range of specialised plastic surgery procedures focuses on specific areas of the face and head, employing industry-leading techniques.

It's important to note that the decision to undergo plastic surgery is highly personal, and you should carefully consider your motivations and expectations before proceeding with any procedure.

Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) targets skin laxity around the eyes. This procedure can reduce excess skin and fat in the upper or lower eyelids, often alleviating issues that affect vision or create a tired appearance. Blepharoplasty can be performed on the upper eyelids (upper blepharoplasty), the lower eyelids (lower blepharoplasty). These procedures can be performed together or as part of periorbital rejuvenation. It typically requires a recovery time of about 1-2 weeks, with some residual swelling that fades over a few months.

Facelifts (Meloplasty or Rhytidectomy)

Facelifts (meloplasty or rhytidectomy) aim to tighten sagging skin, reduce wrinkles, and create a smoother, more youthful appearance by lifting and repositioning the skin and underlying tissue. This procedure can address the natural signs of aging in the cheeks, jawline, and neck, and is often combined with a neck lift to achieve a harmonious look. Recovery usually spans around 2-3 weeks, though swelling may take months to fully subside.

Facial Implants

Facial implants can add definition to areas like the cheeks, jaw, and chin, enhancing facial structure and symmetry. These implants are crafted to blend with your natural contours, and they are often recommended for those who wish for more pronounced facial features. Recovery takes about 1-2 weeks, with minor swelling gradually decreasing.

Fat Grafting (Structural)

Fat grafting, also known as structural fat transfer, involves transferring fat from other areas of the body to add volume to the face, typically to fill out cheeks or under-eye hollows. This procedure provides a natural alternative to synthetic fillers and can last for years. The recovery period is around 1-2 weeks, with subtle improvements visible as swelling diminishes.

Brow/Forehead Lift (Browpexy)

A forehead or brow lift (browpexy) reduces the appearance of forehead lines, heavy brows, and frown lines, giving the upper face a more refreshed and relaxed look. It can lift heavy or lowered brows, alleviating a tired or angry expression. Recovery is generally 1-2 weeks, with residual swelling gradually fading.

Genioplasty (Chin Augmentation/Reduction)

Genioplasty reshapes or enhances the chin to create facial balance, which can be particularly beneficial for those with a recessed or protruding chin. This procedure is ideal for improving the profile and symmetry of the face. The recovery time is typically 1-2 weeks, with mild swelling that may take a few months to resolve fully.

Neck Lift (Platysmaplasty)

A neck lift, or platysmaplasty, refines the appearance of the neck by reducing sagging skin and tightening the muscles. This procedure is often combined with a facelift to achieve a harmonious look. Recovery can take 2-3 weeks, gradually improving as residual swelling subsides.

Otoplasty (Ear Pinning)

Otoplasty, or ear pinning, adjusts the position, shape, or size of the ears, often recommended for individuals who feel their ears protrude. This can be performed on both children and adults and has a relatively straightforward recovery time of about one week, with minimal discomfort.

Rhinoplasty (Nose Job)

Rhinoplasty, commonly referred to as a nose job, is performed to reshape or resize the nose. This can enhance facial balance, improve breathing, or address structural concerns. The primary recovery period is around 1-2 weeks, though full results may take up to a year as swelling fully resolves.
